Studio

Lizart comunicazione visiva was founded in Bologna in 2001 by Simonetta Scala and Silvana Vialli. Various specialists with extensive experience in the main types of corporate, institutional, and product communication have worked with the firm. Lorella Censi, a professional in Public Relations and Corporate Communication, was a partner in the studio from 2015 to 2023 and we have enjoyed a very close and fruitful collaboration with her from the outset. Over the years, Luca Bonini, Tanja Felten, and Maira Chinaglia have also contributed significantly to many of the projects presented on the site.
Lizart handles mainly editorial graphics, i.e. designing series, books, and magazines, as well as corporate literature including producing annual reports, financial and sustainability reports, house organs, and newsletters.
We have decided to also use this site as an archive to keep track of the wide variety of work we have done and the experience we have accumulated over time.

Simonetta Scala

While drawing comics and illustrations from 1982 to 1986, she published in “Alter Alter” and “Vanity” and took part in group shows.
Since 1985 she has worked with various agencies and publishing houses, and in 2001 she founded Lizart Comunicazione visiva together with other professionals in the field. Since 2003, she has developed several self-publishing projects based largely on her photographs.
Simonetta has taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, held workshops at the Universidad de Las Americas (Udlap) in Puebla and Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino, and led the Editorial Graphics and Book Making course at Spazio Labo’ photography school for several years.
She has been a professional member of AIAP (Italian Association of Visual Communication Design) since 2008.
